Presentation Designer

About the role 

LWD is hiring a full-time presentation designer to develop and executive high-impact visual materials across multiple mediums. This role works closely with business development, executive teams, and account leaders to produce compelling presentations and marketing materials for the agency, prospects, and clients. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong design expertise and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all creative outputs align with brand objectives. This role is ideal for an adaptable, dynamic designer who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes initiative, and is passionate about producing visually compelling work that drives business success.

Responsibilities 

  • Design and develop visually compelling presentations and marketing materials to support business development and client pitches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, strategy & stewardship, and research, to craft persuasive and engaging visual narratives.
  • Produce custom presentation templates, digital and print collateral, and data visualizations, ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Conceptualize and execute unique creative designs for brand campaigns, digital initiatives, new business pitches, quarterly business reviews, and other business materials.
  • Create mockups for client presentations and ensure all assets are organized and properly stored.
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve the agency’s brand consistency across all internal and external visual communications.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work efficiently with executives, new business leads, strategists, analysts, and account teams to execute campaign deliverables.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in all design deliverables, including final electronic mechanical files.
  • Research new design technologies and presentation trends to enhance the agency’s marketing efforts.
  • In collaboration with internal teams, maintain the agency credential/RFP workflow; Research new presentation technologies and maintain marketing asset libraries

Qualifications 

Experience 

  • At least 3-5 years of experience with a strong portfolio showcasing presentation design, branding, and digital campaign work. 
  • Previous agency experience and background working on business development presentations and marketing materials is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong ability to prioritize and take direction from stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work outside of business hours as required. 

Creative & Technical Expertise

  • Strong design, motion graphics, layout, and typography skills.
  • Expertise in presentation design, including advanced PowerPoint skills and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in designing for digital platforms, including social media, web banners, and digital campaign collateral.
  • Experience in data visualization, iconography, and infographic creation.

Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving

  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, visually engaging presentations.
  • Strong understanding of digital media, branding, and storytelling.
  • Ability to ideate and justify design concepts in alignment with campaign strategies and business objectives. 
  • Proven track record of prioritizing and delivering high-quality work on tight deadlines. 

Collaboration & Communication

  • A professional team player who works seamlessly across departments and levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-changing environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
  • Clear and effective communicator who can engage with senior leaders and clients.

Benefits (LWD Benefits) 

  • Base salary to commensurate with experience. The range is 55k-65k per year.

Location & Travel Requirements

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in the office each week. We are considering candidates who can be based out of our offices in Irvington, NY, New York, NY, or Durham, NC. Travel between the three offices will be required.

Monthly travel to new business pitches and client meetings will also be required.
