Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Specialist (OB/GYN).

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns appropriate codes to medical diagnoses and clinical procedures from medical records
• Acts as a liaison between clinical and billing departments, addressing inquiries promptly
• Ensures quality and accuracy of clinical data in medical records for reimbursement and statistical purposes

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification as a CPC or CCS-P is required
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
• 2+ years of experience coding OB/GYN professional services
• Certified Obstetrics Gynecology Coder (COBGC) is preferred
