We’re looking for a strategic, creative force to deliver this hybrid role, combining client consultancy with Man Bites Dog own B2B marketing - leading our marketing efforts, engage senior business leaders across the global, accentuate our brand, and amplify our award-winning thought leadership campaigns.  

This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: 50% in-house marketing guru, driving our brand and growth strategy, and 50% consultancy, working directly with blue-chip B2B clients on high-impact content, digital marketing strategy, amplification, and brand positioning.  

We’re looking for a B2B digital marketing agency specialist – or an in-house marketing manager with strong B2B agency experience – who thrives in a fast-paced, ideas-driven environment. You’ll bring a deep understanding of the B2B landscape, a sharp commercial mindset, and the ability to translate complex ideas into powerful, performance-driven campaigns.

Role Overview: 

As our B2B Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing integrated campaigns across web, email, SEO, paid media, and social platforms. With a digital-first mindset, you’ll harness data and analytics to optimise performance, drive engagement, and convert interest into action. From marketing automation to audience segmentation, you’ll ensure our brand and our clients’ campaigns stand out in a crowded marketplace. You’ll lead our content marketing, amplification, and demand generation efforts - creating outstanding campaigns that generate high-quality leads and reinforce our reputation as a leader in strategic thought leadership. 

This hybrid role blends in-house strategic leadership with client-facing consultancy - 50% focused on driving Man Bites Dog’s own marketing strategy and execution, and 50% delivering high-impact content, digital strategy, and brand positioning for marquee clients. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, including the CEO, COO, and sector leads, to shape how we engage with CMOs, CROs, and business leaders across global B2B organisations. Your work will be instrumental in aligning marketing with strategic goals and fuelling innovation across our client services. 

Responsibilities: 

 

In-house Marketing (50%):

  • Strategy & Execution: Lead Man Bites Dog’s end-to-end marketing strategy - from brand development and positioning to demand generation and campaign delivery. 
  • Content & Channels: Own the content marketing strategy, producing high-quality content for our website, social media (especially LinkedIn), and external platforms. Manage website updates, SEO performance, and social media scheduling and optimisation. 
  • Lead Generation & BD Support: Run content-led campaigns to generate high-quality inbound leads. Collaborate with the Business Development team to create compelling sales assets, including case studies, credentials, and service collateral. 
  • Marketing Operations: Manage the marketing budget and external suppliers, ensuring strong ROI. Oversee CRM strategy (HubSpot), email marketing, and marketing automation. 
  • Brand & Innovation: Ensure brand consistency and quality across all communications. Contribute to innovation in content formats, marketing approaches, and service development. 
  • Events & Awards: Support the planning and promotion of events and awards to enhance visibility and credibility. 
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, COO, and senior leadership on strategic initiatives, including product innovation and special projects. Mentor and upskill team members on marketing best practices. 

 

B2B Digital Marketing Client Consultancy (50%):

  • Content Creation: Produce high-impact B2B content for clients, including white papers, flagship reports, and thought leadership pieces - focusing on ideation, storytelling, and activation. 
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide senior-level consultancy on content marketing, digital strategy, amplification, and brand positioning. 
  • Quality & Consistency: Offer expert guidance on content choices and ensure quality control across major deliverables. 
  • Campaign Support: Advise client teams on content marketing elements of integrated campaigns, helping to maximise reach, engagement, and ROI. 

Essential: 

  • Minimum five years of experience creating and executing content campaigns, with a strong focus on producing high-quality written content for a variety of platforms. 
  • Minimum of five years of experience B2B digital marketing, (agency experience required). 
  • Outstanding copywriting capabilities. 
  • Proven ability to create engaging content for high-level B2B CMOs. 
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation and marketing funnel optimisation. 
  • Highly skilled in digital marketing channels - strong focus on LinkedIn, SEO, AI, and content marketing, with a proven track record of leveraging these channels to drive brand awareness and engagement. 
  • Demonstrated track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive lead generation and brand visibility. 
  • In-depth understanding of content marketing principles and best practices, including content creation, distribution, and optimisation. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, and an understanding of how to create sophisticated content for a senior B2B audience. 
  • Experience in leveraging digital tools and analytics to measure and optimise marketing performance. 
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable marketing strategies. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt strategies based on changing market dynamics. 
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. 
  • Eagerness to stay updated on the latest marketing trends, technologies, and tools. 
  • Ability to champion the adoption of new technologies, processes, and data-driven insights to enhance marketing efforts. 
  • Genuine interest in sustainability, innovation, and emerging trends shaping the future of work and business. 
  • Enthusiasm for working with clients who are at the forefront of driving positive change in their industries. 

Desirable: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Qualifications in English, History, PPE and Economics also welcomed. 
  • Experience in Man Bites Dog’s key sectors: Technology & Comms, Professional Services, Financial Services, Built Environment & Infrastructure but particularly Technology & Comms. 
  • Experience working with US companies. 
  • Experience managing a marketing budget and external suppliers/vendors.
