Job Description

The Beauty Retail Education Director, North America, is responsible for the strategic implementation and development of the Beauty Education plan across North America. Acting as the official image and voice of Dior Skincare & Dior Makeup in the educational sphere, this role plays a crucial part in shaping the brand's narrative and ensuring a consistent and elevated client experience.

Leveraging extensive beauty expertise, the Director focuses on enhancing client interactions and driving business growth throughout the region. This includes creating innovative training programs and workshops that empower retail teams, elevate product knowledge, and foster deeper connections with clients. By cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous learning, the Director will contribute to building brand loyalty and achieving sales objectives, while positioning Dior as a leader in the luxury beauty market.

This role will also oversee the development of the career and skills of the National Makeup Artist talent, Pro Team of Makeup and Skincare, and will partner with various departments for the activation and development of this talent.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieve Market Leadership

  • Manage four direct reports: the Makeup Education Senior Manager, Makeup Coordinator, and the Makeup and Skincare Pro-Team, collaborating to create a cohesive retail beauty education strategy for North America.
  • Oversee talent development initiatives for both the Skincare and Makeup Pro Teams, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and enhancing team expertise.
  • Lead the education and development plan for the National Makeup Artist team in North America.
  • Develop and lead beauty education strategies across all North American touchpoints.
  • Adapt education modules provided by Dior headquarters to meet the specific needs of the North American market and regions, with a focus on key cities and locations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and trade marketing teams to align 360° plans for education based on market needs and brand strategy.
  • Partner with the central team to adapt certification content specific to Dior’s offerings and career paths.
  • Provide ongoing support and business partnership to enhance Spa services and sales results, fostering collaboration across teams.
  • Oversee the measurement and follow-up of the Services strategy to establish market leadership.
  • Work with Marketing, Events, and the Key Account Management (KAM) team to identify opportunities to drive sell-through for launches and key products.

Elevate Client Experience

  • Identify and elevate the client experience for beauty across retail channels, determining the necessary training to drive sales growth, track Retail KPIs, productivity standards, and service standards.
  • Deliver compelling and effective beauty education seminars and support tools for wholesale, multiband, and direct-to-consumer channels.
  • Design and implement initiatives to enhance beauty desirability and client engagement at Points of Sale, including skincare and makeup launches, and monitor CXG and NPS results as part of evaluating the client experience.
  • Drive engagement on retailer social media platforms through live events and educational activities, amplifying brand presence.
  • Develop video script content for accounts like Sephora and Ulta, ensuring effective training materials.

Drive Productivity and Profitability

  • Execute and manage makeup and skincare programs for Specialists and Experts, ensuring high-level development in North America and optimizing talent in the market.
  • Develop engaging launch education tools to track sales impact and the correlation between training and sales performance.
  • Analyze and report on beauty career path plans across North America, tracking KPIs in coordination with local markets to drive performance improvements.
  • Report feedback on training, digital initiatives, and local projects to the central Dior Beauty team, contributing to continuous improvement.

Unlock Team Impact

  • Lead the development and strategic scheduling of the Beauty Ambassador team in North America, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the execution of in-person and digital events, ensuring thorough training and preparation for field teams.
  • Collaborate on PR productions and events with influencers, celebrities, and VIP clients to enhance brand visibility.
  • Partner with the Event Director and .com team on masterclass content and training initiatives.
  • Work with the marketing department to create consistency in messaging and teamwork.
  • Be a strong partner for regional educator managers, Regional VPs, and other stakeholders to strategize the best plans tailored to the region’s needs.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years in the beauty industry and 5+ years in leadership roles focused on education, training, or talent development.
  • Demonstrated success in retail education and driving client engagement across wholesale, multibrand, and direct-to-consumer channels.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire teams, while collaborating effectively across departments to elevate talent and drive results.
  • Strong understanding of North American retail dynamics and luxury beauty market trends, with established relationships with key retailers.
  • Expertise in enhancing client experiences and applying insights to develop impactful education strategies.
  • Ability to measure and optimize the effectiveness of training programs, track performance metrics, and ensure alignment with business goals.

LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published range of $155,000-195,000.
