Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

We are looking for a manager to join our HR Operations team.  HR Operations are a HR support function committed to delivering exceptional experiences through the ‘moments that matter’ in the employees’ lifecycle. 

In this role, you will be responsible for leading teams that support candidates, employees, alumni, and centres of excellence (COEs) within HR across EMEA and LATAM.  The ideal candidate is a proven leader with exceptional experience in operational excellence, shared services, service delivery, operational reporting, resource planning, and problem-solving skills who is comfortable interacting with all levels, including executive management, payroll, IT, finance, comms, and legal teams.

Using your strong communication and data analysis skills, you'll effectively collaborate with a variety of people and job functions, juggling and accomplishing tasks of moderate to high complexity and are able to work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You're also able to analyse and anticipate the needs of your team, managers, stakeholders, and their projects. 

You will partner cross-functionally and globally to develop, define, and deliver services and standardized people processes. In this role, you’ll oversee the implementation of key services, processes, programs, and tools that enable LinkedIn’s number 1 operations priority, its ‘Talent’ to work efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Delivery  

  • Lead a team focused on ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, excellent customer service and data reliability 
  • Own, enhance, and manage a best-in-class team to deliver exceptional customer service  
  • Direct, plan, and manage the team in accordance with HR Operations strategic direction 
  • Ensure that the team deliver globally aligned HR services, procedures and processes that follow our SLA and considered value added, measurable, directly tied to business objectives and aimed at providing a great employee experience. 
  • Drive high levels of client service and engagement with our employees and managers who rely on timely and accurate information, guidance, and issue resolution 

Scale  

  • Ensure our operational processes balance flexibility and scalability, ensuring diverse users have the data, tools, and processes 
  • Find practical opportunities to enhance the employee experience and optimize the ability to improve processes and make more informed decisions using all available tools and systems, with a data-driven approach. 
  • Improve the assessment, delivery, and support of HR policies and processes that support current and future business needs. Investigate, fix, and resolve complex issues that arise regarding policies, processes, and practices 

 

Partnerships & Communications  

  • Partner with HR stakeholders and other partner teams (e.g., payroll, IT, Legal) on the creation and implementation of high quality, actionable processes and ensure operational readiness based on best practices 
  • Partner with HR Ops Global Central Services team to ensure smooth transition and execution of T1 tasks for EMEA and LATAM. 
  • Ensures there is a positive internal and external working relationship within the team and with our employees and partners by frequently communicating and soliciting feedback with all involved parties and by measuring customer satisfaction 

Develop  

  • Build and develop a high-performing team, its culture, its ways of working and operations while mentoring and coaching your team members to their highest potential 

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:  

  • 5+ years of experience in HR Operations or a similar function with a background in process improvement and agile project management 

  • 3+ years of management and leadership roles 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Experience working in an shared services environment with effective strategies to reinforce a shared services engagement model 

  • Experience managing an organization supporting thousands of employees 

  • Experience supporting employees within EMEA and LATAM 

  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship 

  • Leadership presence with strong collaboration skills; able to articulate a value proposition and secure buy-in and support from key stakeholders 

  • A strong verbal and written communicator with exceptional emotional intelligence 

  • Strong in analytics, critical thinking, and reasoned judgment 

  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment with limited data 

  • Good knowledge of employment laws, regulations, market practices and general business environment 

  • Mindset of continuous improvement, LEAN experience is an asset. 

  • Innovative thinking and solution-oriented 

  • Agility and flexibility in a fast-changing environment 

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills 

  • Understanding of HRIS systems design, HR reporting, workflow, and auditing requirements (experience with Smart Recruiters, Workday & Service Now strongly preferred) 

  • Ability to manage multiple critical priorities/projects without losing attention to detail or a positive attitude 

  • Completely at ease in an ever changing fast paced ambiguous environment 

  • Relentlessly devoted to the ‘employee experience’ in all things
