Human Resources Coordinator

About Us
We’re a growing real estate and investment firm driven by purpose, excellence, and smart execution. Our people are at the heart of our success—and we’re building an HR function that scales with intention. If you’re passionate about getting the details right, supporting great people, and growing your HR career in a fast-paced, high-integrity environment, we’d love to meet you.

The Opportunity
We’re hiring an HR Coordinator to support the full employee lifecycle and help keep our people operations running smoothly. You’ll play a hands-on role in onboarding, recruiting coordination, HR systems management, and employee support. This is a high-trust, high-volume role where organization, follow-through, and discretion matter. You’ll report to the Head of HR and collaborate across all departments.

This is an ideal role for someone with 2–4 years of HR experience who is ready to go deeper in a high-performing environment—with room to grow into an HR Generalist and beyond. The position will be reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources.

This is a hybrid role located at our Santa Monica HQ with an expectation of 3 days in the office.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate full-cycle onboarding logistics for new hires—including offer letters, background checks, orientation scheduling, system access, and first-day support
  • Partner with Talent and hiring managers to post jobs, schedule interviews, manage candidate communications, and keep our ATS (Workable) updated
  • Maintain employee records in our HR systems (Insperity, 15Five, Workable) with high accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist with employee inquiries and HR inbox triage, acting as a point-of-contact for routine employee questions.
  • Support our performance review cycle with system setup, communication, and logistics
  • Contribute to employee engagement, events, culture, and L&D initatives
  • Track compliance tasks, audit employee files, and help ensure HR policies and labor law requirements are met (especially California-specific compliance)
  • Track HR metrics and generate reports and documentation as needed
  • Use GenAI tools and other software to streamline documentation and workflows
  • Support general People Ops initiatives and tasks as needed

What You Bring

  • 2–4 years of HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced corporate or professional services environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals—onboarding, benefits, compliance, and recordkeeping
  • Familiarity with HR tools such as Insperity, Workable, 15Five, and Google Workspace; bonus points for experience with GenAI, Checkr, or payroll platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a warm, professional, and clear tone
  • Meticulous attention to detail, great organization, and reliable follow-through
  • High EQ, can read the room, practice discretion, and care about how your work and actions affect others
  • Self-aware and self-reflective, open to feedback, eager to grow, and willing to ask questions or admit when you're not sure.
  • Curious and proactive, enjoy learning how things work, spotting what can be better, and trying new tools.
  • Have an agile mindset, comfortable shifting gears and navigating ambiguity with grace
  • Someone people naturally trust and enjoy working with
