Liberty Community Programs is a prominent provider of services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. We are committed to fostering independence, inclusion, and personal growth for our participants. We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a part-time basis. The RN will provide clinical support, oversee patient care, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of health and wellness.
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing the health needs of individuals, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and providing clinical care in line with established protocols. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a depth of knowledge about developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and evaluations of patients.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for effectiveness.
- Educate patients and families about health management and disability-related issues.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Provide supervision and guidance to Approved Medication Assistive Personnel (AMAP).
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia
- AMAP Certification.
- Must be certified to oversee AMAP (Approved Medication Assistive Personnel).
- Must be approved by OHFLAC to oversee AMAP.
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge and understanding of developmental disabilities and appropriate care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel to various locations.
- Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Knowledge of physiology and basic life support techniques
Full Time Employees are eligible for:
Salary: $41.20 - $44.52/ HR
