We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Lender with over 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. As a Commercial Lender, you will be responsible for managing and growing a diverse portfolio of business clients, providing financial solutions that meet their needs, and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the bank. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial lending practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities- Loan Origination & Underwriting: Identify, evaluate, and originate commercial loan opportunities, including business lines of credit, term loans, and real estate financing. Perform thorough financial analysis and credit risk assessments to determine loan eligibility.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention. Proactively engage with potential clients to grow the commercial lending portfolio.
- Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial loans, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines. Regularly review loan performance and address any potential issues or risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including credit analysts, underwriters, and relationship managers, to ensure a seamless loan process and successful client outcomes.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the local market. Participate in networking events, industry conferences, and community outreach activities to promote the bank’s lending services.
- Risk Management: Ensure that all loans are in compliance with bank policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Monitor market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes to assess potential impacts on the lending portfolio.
- Loan Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of loan documentation, including loan agreements, collateral agreements, and financial covenants. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, loan performance data, and portfolio metrics to senior management.
- High School Diploma – Required
- General Education Degree (GED) – in lieu of H.S. Diploma
- Associates Degree - General Studies - Preferred
- Five (5) to eight (8) yrs. banking or Credit Union experience required
- Two (2) to four (4) yrs. Commercial Lending experience and sales background required
$90,000 - $125,000 a year
