Role: Finance Collection Analyst
Hours: 8am - 4pm Mountain Standard Time
Salary: $5- $8+ Based on experience (Open to negotiation)
Lago is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Collection Analyst to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the collection of overdue accounts, ensuring timely payment from clients, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
Your analytical skills will be essential in assessing payment trends and implementing effective collection strategies. You will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and resolution of outstanding balances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the collections process to ensure timely receipt of outstanding payments from clients.
- Communicate professionally with clients primarily via email regarding payment status, overdue invoices, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor aging reports, identify delinquent accounts, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Work cross-functionally with the Finance, Sales, and Customer Success teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, client communications, and payment agreements.
- Assist in preparing monthly reports on collections status, accounts receivable aging, and cash flow projections.
- Support back-end financial operations including invoice generation, data entry, payment application, and reconciliations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the collections process for efficiency and effectiveness.
- 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a finance-related role.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to handle professional email correspondence.
- Proficient in financial systems, spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), and CRM tools.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles or prior experience supporting a finance team is a plus.
