Compliance Lead

Kite Compliance is reimagining product certifications and compliance for physical products. We use AI to automate and streamline compliance processes, making it easier for manufacturers to navigate complex certification requirements.

As Compliance Lead, you’ll be at the intersection of compliance expertise, customer success, and product development. Your role will involve guiding customers through compliance workflows while also working closely with our engineering team to automate and improve these processes.

Customer-Facing Compliance Guidance

• Act as the primary compliance expert, researching relevant standards and regulations to support customers through complex certification workflows.
• Coordinate with third-party laboratories and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth testing and certification processes.
• Provide detailed, actionable guidance in response to customer inquiries, translating complex compliance requirements into clear next steps.
• Develop and maintain a network of external compliance specialists to provide deep, vertical-specific expertise as needed.
• Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists to ensure consistent and efficient customer success operations.

Product & Automation Development

• Collaborate with software engineering to develop and maintain automation tools for streamlining compliance workflows.
• Design and refine internal logic for AI-driven compliance recommendations, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Develop and implement rigorous testing frameworks to assess the accuracy and efficiency of automated compliance solutions.
• Lead the design, development, and optimization of AI prompt generation processes to enhance model performance and output relevance.
• Define and execute data acquisition strategies, including the application of reinforcement learning, to improve AI accuracy and contextual understanding.
• Translate complex compliance requirements into actionable product features, acting as a bridge between regulatory insights and software innovation.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and prompt engineering.

Who You Are

• Compliance-Savvy – You have experience with product certification processes (UL, ASTM, NFRC, ENERGY STAR, etc.) or deep knowledge of regulatory workflows.
• Tech-Forward – You’re excited about leveraging software and automation to improve compliance processes.
• Customer-Oriented – You can translate complex regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance for customers.
• Detail-Driven – You thrive in navigating nuanced regulatory requirements and ensuring accuracy in workflows.
• Collaborative – You’re comfortable working cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in product certification, compliance, or regulatory affairs.
• Familiarity with certification processes in the built environment (a strong plus).
• Prior experience working with software teams or in a SaaS/product-driven environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
