This is a hybrid role, reporting to the office four days per week. Each person may work from home one day per week on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
Roles & Responsibilities:- Write and ship code while providing technical leadership and ensuring high-quality engineering practices.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the technical strategy, aligning it with Kira's overall goals and objectives.
- Mentor engineers on best practices, architecture, and debugging while fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Drive technical excellence by setting standards for performance, reliability, and code quality
- Drive sustainable engineering practices with a focus on quality, maintainable solutions.
- Ensure successful and timely deployments.
- Work closely with product team members to inform timelines and the product roadmap
- Work closely with Kira leadership to ensure the engineering team is high-performing, motivated, and contributing effectively to achieve company goals.
- Identify team challenges and relay perspective of the engineering function to key stakeholders, helping to influence decisions to deliver solutions
Experience & Skills- Being a seasoned software engineer with management experience as well, excited to dive in and do hands-on technical work but equally excited to lead technical teams to peak performance.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, with the ability to guide technical decisions in these areas.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an end-to-end ownership mindset and a focus on delivering impactful solutions.
- Having a humble attitude and willingness to learn from others, and an eagerness to help your colleagues, and a desire to do whatever it takes to make the team succeed
- Own problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done
- Having a strong sense of accountability and willingness to dive on with issues requiring incidence response
- Have excellent communication skills. Expressing ideas clearly and listening carefully are among the most important requirements for success in this role.
Compensation & Benefits- Competitive compensation and equity. For applicants in the US, the salary range for this role is $170,000 - $230,000, depending on relevant considerations like professional experience and related skill sets.
