The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Executive Assistant to provide world-class administrative support to our CEO. This role is essential to Kindred’s ability to scale and achieve its mission by optimizing the CEO’s time and focus. By expertly managing the CEO's calendar, travel, and communications, you’ll ensure that her attention remains focused on the highest-impact activities. As her trusted right hand, you will enable our CEO to concentrate on top priorities, from investor relations to key partnerships, while seamlessly handling day-to-day tasks. You’ll play a critical role in driving efficiency and organization within the office of the CEO, enhancing the productivity and alignment across the executive team and company as a whole.
You Will:
Serve as a strategic administrative partner to the CEO, proactively anticipating needs to protect her time and attention.
Track ongoing action items and follow up as needed to keep the CEO organized and aligned with priorities.
Act as a gatekeeper, confidently saying "no" when necessary to maintain focus on critical business goals and priorities.
Provide in-office support at least 4 days per week, occasionally working from the CEO's home to enable close collaboration and alignment.
Calendar Management: Manage a complex and ever-evolving calendar with an eye for detail, strategically rescheduling meetings and proactively blocking time to maximize productivity.
Travel Coordination: Arrange complex domestic and international travel with detailed itineraries, balancing precise travel logistics with the needs and expectations of a global team.
Inbox Management: Oversee the CEO’s inbox to prioritize key messages, draft responses in her voice, and track follow-ups.
Office Management (interim, at least 6 months): Support office management during the new office transition, dedicating ~10% of your time to tasks such as coordinating office access, welcoming visitors, organizing team meals, and managing vendor relationships.
Assist in special projects such as planning offsites, events, and executive gatherings, handling all logistical details and occasionally leading ad hoc projects to provide operational support.
You may be a fit for this role if you:
Have 7+ years of experience as a Senior Executive Assistant, Executive Business Partner, or similar role, ideally supporting the CEO of a fast-growing tech startup from Series C through post-IPO stages.
Are skilled in managing complex schedules and have experience supporting executives with extensive travel, understanding the logistics required to optimize their time across multiple time zones.
Are highly organized with exceptional judgment, able to prioritize and make decisions independently with limited guidance.
Possess strong written communication skills, with the capability to draft messages in the CEO’s voice and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Demonstrate discretion, resourcefulness, and an ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
Are proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar) and familiar with productivity tools such as Slack and Notion.
Are based in San Francisco and able to work in-office at least 4 days per week, with occasional flexibility to work from the CEO’s home.
