About The Role:
We are seeking an Investment Analyst to support the Director of Investments and Strategy in managing investment operations, portfolio management, and financial analysis. This role ensures the seamless execution of investment strategies, accurate reporting, and efficient portfolio workflows.
As an integral part of the investment team, you will oversee portfolio management system administration, conduct performance analysis, and assist in trading and reconciliation. You will collaborate with Wealth Advisors to align investment strategies with client financial plans while staying informed on market trends and regulatory changes.

What You Are Responsible For:
Investment Operations & Portfolio Management
- Ensure the seamless execution of investment strategies by reconciling cash and security activity between custodians and portfolio management systems.
- Oversee account and security setup, ensuring data integrity and alignment with client financial plans.
- Conduct daily reconciliation and weekly audits, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Serve as a backup trader, executing trades for individual client accounts with precision and adherence to investment guidelines.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Create customized reports to support Wealth Advisors and clients, providing insights into portfolio performance, benchmarks, and investment trends.
- Analyze model, security, and account performance to ensure alignment with client objectives and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with the investment team to evaluate portfolio construction and identify optimization opportunities.
Market Research & Investment Strategy Support
- Monitor market trends, economic developments, and investment opportunities, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Assist in the due diligence and onboarding of new investments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Support the Director of Investments and Strategy in preparing research materials for investment committee meetings and client discussions.
- Work closely with Wealth Advisors to ensure investment strategies align with clients' broader financial plans, including tax planning, estate strategies, and risk management.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal investment policies to maintain the highest fiduciary standards.
- Assist in trade settlement, cash flow management, custodial documentation, and investment operations oversight.
- Proactively identify operational risks and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of investment processes.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; If in a different field, 4+ years of experience required.
- 3-5+ years of investment operations, portfolio management, reconciliation, or auditing experience.
- Extensive experience with Tamarac, Orion, or Black Diamond.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (financial modeling, data analysis, and automation).
- Strong knowledge of market trends, investment account types, and security types.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and investment performance metrics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support investment team objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a remote work environment while maintaining high accountability.
