Senior Director of Healthcare Business Growth #0209

We are representing a physician-owned healthcare organization that delivers specialized critical care, pulmonary medicine, sleep disorder services, and hospitalist programs throughout acute and post-acute healthcare environments. Operating across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, this expanding enterprise is planning substantial growth over the coming 5-7 years and seeks an accomplished Senior Director of Healthcare Business Growth to spearhead their expansion initiatives.

Opportunity

In the role of Senior Director of Healthcare Business Growth, you will have direct reporting access to the Chief Executive Officer and serve as a pivotal force in advancing organizational expansion through securing new hospital partnerships. This freshly established role enables the CEO to concentrate on clinical leadership and strategic vision while you assume full responsibility for the business development funnel. Your focus will be cultivating partnerships with hospital leadership teams, crafting customized service proposals, and finalizing agreements with medical facilities across the nation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO (who will join key meetings) to develop tailored solutions for prospective partners
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital executives, medical directors, and other key decision-makers
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of acute and post-acute care hospital leads
  • Support transition of newly signed clients to the operations team, ensuring smooth onboarding and client satisfaction
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with hospitals and healthcare systems requiring critical care, hospitalist, or pulmonary services
  • Close a minimum of two new hospital contracts annually as part of the long-term national growth strategy
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences and networking events to enhance brand visibility
  • Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to position the organization effectively in the market
  • Oversee the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and relationship building to proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Proven success in closing multi-million-dollar service contracts with hospitals
  • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong understanding of acute and post-acute care dynamics
  • Experience working directly with hospital executives and C-suite decision-makers
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with healthcare contract structures and hospital operations
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships in the healthcare industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics
  • Experience in physician services, pulmonary/critical care, or hospital staffing specifically
  • Consultative sales approach
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
    • Performance-based commission structure tied to new hospital contracts closed (potentially $10K-$25K per deal or percentage of first-year revenue)
    • Opportunity to grow with the company as it expands nationally
    • Comprehensive benefits package
    • Competitive base salary range: $140,000-$170,000

Unique Career Opportunity

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious healthcare business development leader to:

    • Benefit from an attractive commission structure based on successful contracts
    • Join a growing organization with significant autonomy
    • Make a direct impact on company expansion and success
    • Partner directly with the CEO to drive strategic growth
    • Grow professionally as the organization scales nationally
