We are partnering with a premier physician-led healthcare organization that delivers comprehensive pulmonary, critical care, sleep medicine, and hospitalist services throughout acute and post-acute care environments. Operating across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, this expanding organization seeks an accomplished Operations Executive to become an integral part of their executive leadership. This represents an exceptional opportunity to drive operational excellence within a healthcare enterprise positioned for substantial expansion.

Opportunity

The Operations Executive will serve as a direct report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be instrumental in overseeing operational performance across a growing healthcare enterprise employing approximately 65 professionals. This newly established role will enable the CEO to concentrate on strategic business development and organizational expansion while the successful candidate assumes responsibility for operational leadership, guides site management teams, enhances provider performance, and establishes operational excellence initiatives throughout multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a supportive, high-performing culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and manage site budgets, ensuring financial goals are met while maintaining high-quality care standards
  • Drive provider productivity and efficiency by identifying and addressing barriers to optimal performance
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and quality metrics
  • Supervise and provide leadership to directors across all sites, ensuring alignment with company mission and values
  • Oversee staff onboarding and training programs across all sites
  • Lead the operational integration of new sites as the company expands
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including hospital executives and referring providers
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics and scorecards to ensure all sites meet or exceed established KPIs
  • Provide regular performance reports to the executive team, identifying areas for improvement
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively supervise directors and hold teams accountable
  • Demonstrated ability to drive provider productivity and operational efficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and improving cost-efficiency
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in outpatient or inpatient healthcare operations management
  • Proficiency with healthcare technologies/systems (EMRs, productivity software)
  • Proven experience managing multi-site healthcare operations
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling the operational integration of new sites or facilities
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
  • Change management experience
  • Data analytics experience
  • Experience with pulmonary, critical care, sleep services, or hospital medicine
