For one of our clients, we are looking for a Business Tax Compliance Specialist, remotely from the United States.

In this role, you will ensure companies meet critical indirect tax obligations such as sales, use, and payroll taxes. You will navigate complex regulations to prevent compliance risks, mitigate audit findings, and maintain accurate tax filings. The specialist will provide expert guidance to clients, support internal tax teams, and ensure efficient processes to avoid penalties or missed deadlines.

Accountabilities:

  • Communicate complex indirect tax matters (sales/use, payroll) to clients in a clear and accessible way.
  • Provide tailored guidance on compliance requirements, deadlines, and best practices to clients.
  • Assist tax agents by answering technical questions and providing support on complex scenarios.
  • Conduct training sessions to improve the team's understanding of indirect tax compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date sales tax rates and ensure timely updates to compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external auditors during tax audits.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience with indirect tax filings.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting or compliance-related experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong technical and computer skills, with proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Client-centric attitude with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competitive annual salary range of $80,000 - $90,000.
