Senior QA Engineer (Automation)

Scope of role

As a Senior QA Engineer you will ensure a high-quality product is delivered to our customers while driving through improvements to our QA capability, you will report to the QA Manager in our Makati office. The software product QA team have the responsibility of delivering improvements, influencing colleagues and implementing manual and automated tests.  

The Makati office is growing, and we are looking for Engineers that want to be part of a successful team building software products and working with the latest technologies.  

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will:

• Define and deliver QA strategic improvements and capabilities. 
• Focus on automation to support Continuous Delivery to our customers.   
• Build expertise in important QA areas, for example performance or security testing.     
• Deliver quality software to our customers.   
• Improve the testing approach of user stories through refinement and technical designs.   
• Develop automated and manual tests against those detailed user stories and designs.   
• Ensure Engineering deliverables meet the needs of our customers and are thoroughly tested.   
• Validate engineering estimates and timescales. 
• Maintain current technical user documentation.   
• Maintain the software on an ongoing basis.   
• Communicate with our customer success team to help troubleshoot/verifying customer raised defects.  

• 7+ years of experience in quality assurance, including hands-on work with automation and various testing methodologies.
• Strong coding skills in Java (or C++), with the ability to write clean, maintainable test code.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, and containerization platforms such as Docker/Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing within Agile (Scrum) environments.
• Proficient with version control systems like Git, with the ability to manage and review code repositories.
• Demonstrated experience with building and customizing testing tools, frameworks, and pipelines.
• Familiarity with Continuous Delivery principles and integrating testing throughout the delivery process.
