Insurity’s Next DataOps Developer  
 
As a DataOps Developer you will work on our Insurity Geospatial Software as a Service (SaaS) geospatial analytics platform, with a focus on custom geospatial data creation and maintenance. In this role you will be supporting/partnering with the Geospatial Data Team and Product Teams, consisting of DataOps developers, QA engineers, and domain experts. We are looking for a forward-thinking and passionate DataOps Developer who has a love of problem-solving and is excited to work with geospatial data. The entire Insurity Geospatial team is remote and distributed across multiple states and countries.
 
Our current stack is AWS underpinning Linux, Python, PostgreSQL with PostGIS, GDAL/OGR, QGIS, JSON, and more. We don't expect a mastery of our entire tech stack out of the gate, but we do expect you to be comfortable diving in and being eager to learn as our stack evolves.  
 
What Our DataOps Developer Will Do 
  • Collaborate data operations and engineering to understand enterprise processes and models
  • Monitor integration quality and develop ways to detect and correct anomalies within data exchange processes
  • Create, maintain, and publish data dictionaries, technical documentation, runbooks, and standards
  • Build and improve data loading pipelines and processes
  • Developer and release support– assisting data and QA engineers in troubleshooting issues with configuration and deployments across environments
  • Data maintenance – installation, configuration, supporting upgrades across varying technologies
  • Automation – script and automate common tasks.
  • Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
Who We’re Looking For 
  • 3 years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (equivalent work experience may be considered) Computer Science, Engineering, or other computational/quantitative field
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Databases/data structures
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with SQL
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with XML, JSON
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Data visualization software and tools
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Version Control Systems
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Programming and scripting
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite

Along with the benefits listed above, the salary range for this role is $65,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
