Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist to manage financial and insurance information for patients remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of financial, insurance, and demographic information for patient admissions and outpatient services
  • Obtain and confirm insurance eligibility, benefits, and requirements, including referrals and authorizations
  • Resolve issues related to insurance accounts, including determining primary insurance and coordination of benefits (COB)
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing in a medical setting
  • Experience with insurance payor systems
  • Preferred EPIC training/experience and knowledge of ICD-10 medical terminology
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
