We're growing and looking for a Technical Content Editor to create, update, and manage high-quality content that empowers tech learners worldwide, while building meaningful collaborations with industry experts.
Role Overview
As the Technical Content Editor, you will lead the development and maintenance of technical roadmaps and learning material, ensuring they stay current with industry trends. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts to create and refine engaging educational material while building long-term relationships with contributors. Additionally, you’ll support social media initiatives by developing and contributing to video content that enhances brand awareness and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Course Development & Content Creation (50%)
- Research, plan, and develop new technical roadmaps and course content.
- Draft modules, lesson outlines, quizzes, and supporting materials.
- Revise existing content to reflect user feedback and the latest trends.
Collaborator Recruitment, Editorial & Quality Review (30%)
- Identify and onboard subject matter experts, educators, and technical thought leaders.
- Review and edit contributor submissions for accuracy, clarity, and alignment.
- Provide clear guidance and constructive feedback to contributors to enhance content quality.
Social Media & Video Content Creation (20%)
- Plan and help produce one long-form video each week (e.g., roadmap walkthroughs, project demos).
- Collaborate with the marketing team to repurpose videos into short-form content.
- Engage with the community around published videos and content updates.
Desired Role Objectives (First 6–12 Months)
- Launch 8-10 new roadmap or course experiences, each in collaboration with an external expert.
- Build and maintain a network of 15–20 recurring contributors.
- Establish and maintain a consistent weekly video publishing cadence, with repurposed short clips aligned with the marketing calendar.
- Ensure all existing content is reviewed and updated at least once within the first 6 months.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience in technical content creation, editing, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of the tech industry and its various fields, such as software development, DevOps, data science, and cloud computing.
- Exceptional editorial skills, including attention to detail, grammar, and structure.
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and technical contributors.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with industry professionals and educators.
- Familiarity with learning and development best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with developing online courses, technical documentation, or instructional design.
- Hands-on experience in software development, DevOps, AI/ML, or related fields.
- Experience contributing to video content, webinars, or social media campaigns.
- Understanding of SEO, content marketing, and audience engagement strategies.
