Senior Project Manager (Boston)

Insight Investment is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the Business Change and Process Engineering team in Boston. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with business units to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding and managing the capabilities needed to address business/regulatory deliverables.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.

Role Responsibilities

  • Project planning and monitoring
  • Management of project risks and dependencies
  • Assisting business Operational workstream leaders to construct and monitor plans
  • Own and manage project budgets
  • Construct presentations and status reports
  • Present solutions to external parties
  • General support to the project team
  • Manage external partners and suppliers
  • Construct full businesses cases
  • Define project scopes and deliverables
  • Design and construct business operating models
  • Explore market infrastructures

Experienced Required

Knowledge

  • Proven track record as a lead Project Manager role within asset management, fixed income focus preferred
  • Proven track record working as a lead Project Manager on wide variety of strategic, regulatory and tactical initiatives
  • Experience of working on system and operational migration initiatives within asset management
  • Ability to create and define operating models
  • Exposure to a wide spectrum of financial products including Fixed Income, ETDs, OTCs, and SMAs
  • Experience with Charles River OMS preferred
  • Trade-lifecycle expertise a plus

  • Strong planning, co-ordination and organising skills
  • Change management skills
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation
  • Excellent at building and maintaining relationships
  • Cost control skills and commercial acumen

Experience

  • Asset management / investment management background
  • Demonstrate delivery of successful Business Change
  • Presenting to senior management and external clients & suppliers
  • Management of external suppliers
