Inpatient Audit Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Audit Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient facility coding audits and provide rationale for identified changes
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes and organize multiple cases to ensure optimal workflow
• Provide coder education and maintain professionalism in all interactions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing
• CCS certification required; RHIA or RHIT preferred
• Maintain a 95% DRG accuracy rate
• Experience with various software including Epic and Cerner
• 3-5+ years of auditing experience at an Academic/Trauma Level 1 facility preferred
