Strategic Sourcing Intern

We also leverage our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical analysis products for emergency response, security, and environmental health and safety.

We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing intern who is studying in Business Administration, Procurement, Data Analytics or a related field to join our team. As part of the Strategic Sourcing team, you will support Global Sourcing initiatives by coordinating data from all manufacturing locations as related to cost savings and Key Supplier Management goals.  You will also support the local global teams working on specific product line projects.  This role will be focused mostly on data analytics supporting Global Sourcing.

Job Summary Overview:

• Will work with a multidisciplinary team in Sourcing, Operations, Engineering, and Product Management
• These initiatives include Global Cost reduction data collection. Collecting data on spend, delivery, and quality on top 10 critical global suppliers. Support Bill of Material accuracy in terms of supplier data.
• Support Sourcing teams who are launching new product lines outside of the United States.
• Be an agent of change, working with a motivated team to realize our 2025 Sourcing Team goals.

Job Requirements:

• We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing intern who is studying in Business Administration, Procurement, Data Analytics or a related field to join our team. As part of the Sourcing team, you will: 
• Have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Have a passion for data analytics.
• Familiarity with SAP and Tableau is a plus.
• Must be able to communicate confidently in written and spoken form to any position level within the company as well as with suppliers.

Education Required/Licenses/Certifications/Skills:

• Enrolled in a technical program or accredited college pursuing a degree or certification Business, Procurement, or Data Analytics related fields.
• Applicants who have graduated within 6 months from the start of the internship will also be considered
• Project management and lead experience is considered beneficial
• Strong communication skills both written and oral

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.00 and $26.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
