The Site Reliability Engineer role exists within the global Unified Support organization. The role forms part of a shift team, which reports into a Unified Support manager who is responsible for the operational and people management aspects of that shift. The shifts together form the Unified Support - IFS Cloud Upgrade Support Team who provide EU hours / Normal hours based operations support to the IFS customer base across all IFS cloud services. The role handles multiple aspects of incident, service request, problem and change management. Working with multiple internal and external stakeholders related to our supported services.
Site Reliability Engineers are the ones that ensure the availability, security, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of the enterprise software services run by IFS in the Cloud for customers.
Although not a role with people management duties, the selected individual will be a part of the organisation and so will provide mentoring and examples of good practice to the more junior members of the team.

Summary
A Site Reliability Engineer will technically lead the event management, incident management, problem management and service request fulfilment functions, required to ensure the availability, security, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of the enterprise software services run by IFS in the Cloud for customers.
A Site Reliability Engineer at IFS proactively interacts with the other resolver groups (Cloud Engineering, DevOps, development, product support, account management, platform vendors) as appropriate to resolve customer issues and requests related to the Cloud platform with the focus on completing the work within SLA, OLA and KPI targets and to the satisfaction of the customer. Site Reliability Engineers demonstrate a strong commitment to the service and process quality and take proactive action to prevent issues from arising and resolve them quickly and effectively when they still do occur.
A Site Reliability Engineer at IFS is also a key driver of creating systems to more efficiently accomplish the work that would otherwise be performed, often manually in ad-hoc manners.
A Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at IFS continuously expands their process and technical domain knowledge and shares this knowledge to guide others. Common to all SREs is the belief in and aptitude for developing software systems to solve complex problems and their pursuit of making IFS enterprise software services in the Cloud run themselves. SRE teams are characterized by both rapid innovation and a large acceptance of change.

• Internship duration is one year
• Following a bachelor’s degree in IT systems Engineering and Networking preferred.
• Understanding of basic concepts in Cloud computing.
• Basic Knowledge of database administration is an added advantage.
