Make your mark on Jewish student life by joining Emory Hillel as the Student Engagement and Programming Coordinator. You will drive Hillel forward by thinking big, empowering students, and creating a warm and inclusive environment for Jewish life on campus. As you lead people and programs, you’ll help every Jewish student on campus connect to cultural, spiritual, and educational programs at Hillel and on campus. You will join a small and mighty team of staff and student interns with a focus on creating a home away from home for the Jewish population of Emory.
The right person for this job isn't afraid to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone. You're someone who loves to chat about your favorite music, book, or show, but is also comfortable in deeper conversations about Judaism and the State of Israel. You're creative and love to brainstorm and are ready to help take students’ ideas and turn them into reality. You know how to stay on top of competing tasks and how to prioritize your time. Most of all, you’ll be the rock that students lean on for leadership development, the foundation on which Emory Hillel is built.
*Please note: Due to the nature of Jewish student life, during the semesters this position will require several nights/weekends, including for Shabbat and holidays.
In 1923, Rabbi Benjamin Frankel started Hillel with humble means, a noble mission and a breathtaking vision: to convey Jewish civilization to a new generation. Today, Hillel International continues to enrich the lives of Jewish students and is the largest Jewish campus organization in the world at nearly 1,000 colleges and universities across North America and around the world. As Hillel evolves as an organization, the mission remains steadfast: to create lasting connections with every Jewish student that foster an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel and train them to become the next Jewish leaders.
Hillel is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an accepting and inclusive environment for all.
