Hey Jane is the leading telemedicine clinic providing a range of reproductive and sexual health care services, including abortion care. Since launching in 2021, we’ve been committed to providing safe, discreet medication abortion treatment (no in-person clinic visit necessary)—and have helped more than 80,000 people get the care they need from the comfort and convenience of their phone. Our in-house clinical care team, composed of board certified doctors, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and patient care advocates, is just a text message away. We’re committed to helping you get the care you know you need. Because we believe the best person to make decisions about your body is you.
About the role:
We’re seeking a Provider Partnerships Manager based in the Chicago metropolitan area to develop and execute a strategy to increase awareness within the state about Hey Jane’s telemedicine abortion services. This is a provider-facing role where your primary goal will be to grow patient referrals to Hey Jane by establishing and nurturing relationships with healthcare providers who refer patients for medication abortion services.
In November 2024, Hey Jane became the first fully virtual abortion provider to accept Illinois Medicaid. This means care with Hey Jane can be as little as $0—and, because of our innovative model, does not come with additional costs associated with accessing in-person care (including lost wages from taking time off work, child care coverage, and transportation to/from a clinic). But research has found that public awareness that Illinois Medicaid covers telemedicine abortion care is low, leading this patient population to incur unnecessary out-of-pocket expenses or skip care altogether because of financial barriers. As our Provider Partnerships Manager, you will help build provider referral channels to help more patients in IL get access to Hey Jane's medication abortion services. You will work directly with our VPs of Business Development and Marketing to create and bring to life an Illinois provider referrals strategy that will have a tangible impact on abortion access for primarily low-income individuals in the state.
The ideal candidate will have a knack for low-cost/high-impact strategy, established local health care connections within the state, ability to move quickly while applying a test-and-learn mindset to the program, and a passion for reproductive health care.
This is a part-time (20 hours/week) contract role, and will pay $3,000/month.
