Position Overview
We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a state-operated hospital setting. Under the supervision of a collaborating physician, the PA will diagnose and treat a range of acute and chronic conditions, assist in surgical procedures, contribute to interdisciplinary teams, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical exams
- Diagnose illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with guidelines
- Assist in surgical procedures and perform minor interventions
- Interpret diagnostic test results and modify care plans accordingly
- Respond to emergency situations and escalate critical cases
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare staff
- Support research and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide clinical supervision to nursing and direct care staff

Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program (Required)
- Licensure & Certification:
- Active Indiana PA License (Required)
- NCCPA Certification (PA-C) (Required)

- Experience: Hospital or surgical experience preferred
- Technical Proficiency:
- Diagnosing and managing acute/chronic conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging)
- Surgical assistance and emergency protocols
