A founding member of the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA), Gogolook has also teamed up with a number of institutes such as the Taiwan National Police Agency Criminal Investigation Bureau, the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea, Thai Royal Police, the Fukuoka city government, the Philippines Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, and the Royal Malaysia Police and state government to fight fraud and ultimately, to build a trustworthy communication network with the largest number database in East Asia and Southeast Asia. In July 2023, TrustTech provider Gogolook completed its IPO listing on the Taiwan Innovation Board (TIB) of the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE), under the ticker number 6902.

About Us 

The mission of ScamAdviser is to protect consumers worldwide from scams. Online scams have become a global epidemic. Consumers worldwide lost an estimated 1 trillion US Dollars. In many countries online scams are the most reported type of crime such as in the UK where 41% of all reported crimes are now related to online fraud and 50% in Singapore.   

ScamAdviser helps 7 million consumers every month to check if a website is legit or a possible scam. Each month we scan more than 2 million new sites. We share our data with 100+ partners (law enforcement, consumer authorities, brand protection agencies, cybersecurity firms, financial service providers, etc.) to improve threat intel, IP infringement identification, and KYC processes. 

While we operate largely virtually and globally, we are looking for a candidate based in Taipei to work with our HQ office. The bulk of our users are English speaking.


The Job: Growing ScamAdviser to lead the world in fighting scams 

We are looking for an experienced all-round manager that can grow our traffic and active users of ScamAdviser, and drive engagement into building up an anti-scam community.


Your responsibilities
  • Identify and prioritize key growth opportunities, using data-driven approaches to identify target markets and user cohorts
  • Work closely with the product team to improve the experience of the website, browser extensions and mobile app
  • Develop a content strategy focusing on SEO ownership to grow our traffic
  • Lead and coordinate our SEO, SEA, ASO efforts alongside external experts
  • Manage social media (Meta, X, Telegram), Email Marketing, etc
  • Set up viral campaigns (we like to be a bit fun and naughty)
  • Build an online community of both scam fighters as well as scam interested persons
  • The existing marketing team consists of an editor based in Africa. The marketing manager will have to coordinate in both English and Chinese, with teammates spread across Europe to Taiwan


Your characteristics
  • Passionate, result driven, willing to go the extra mile to get the best results
  • Can operate on both a strategic level as well as be willing to get hands dirty
  • Analytical, communicative and can work independently


Skills
  • At least a bachelor's degree, preferably in business or marketing/communication
  • Proven experience in growing consumer focused websites and apps
  • Has a minimum of 5 years' work experience in online marketing
  • Fluent in English
