Who You Are:

We are hiring a Junior Field Photo Editor to join our team! Are you a Photo Editor professional who is seeking to play an integral role in the content that is created at live events and captured by Getty Images? In this role, you are an essential part of a tight-knit Field Editing team that plays a vital role in producing the imagery you see published around the world. If you are a positive relationship builder, a natural-born collaborator, and have a passion for Photography and Entertainment, we would love to meet you! Reporting to the Manager of East Coast Editing, you will be a key part of the broader North American field editing team handling entertainment assignments across many different regions.


Your Next Challenge:
  • Lead the photo editing production for entertainment events, including large-scale major events.
  • Understanding business goals and needs, including:
  • Editorial integrity policies.
  • Speed to market deadline editing.
  • Working with clients and customers.
  • Developing and carrying out bespoke workflows.
  • Understanding the technology and equipment required for each assignment.
  • Cross-functional presence working alongside Sales, Event Support/Technology, Video, and Photographer teams.


What You'll Need:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the entertainment industry.
  • Proficient understanding of Mac and PC operating systems including the ability to set up small networks and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Familiarity with wireless transmit workflows.
  • Proficiency in photography and photo editing software such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to prioritize multiple priorities, workflows, and clients.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and solutions-based attitude.


Nice to Have:
  • High-end retouching experience.
  • Video editing capabilities.
  • Well-versed in social media and content creation
  • Experience with Canon, Nikon, and Sony camera bodies.


What You Can Expect (Mental and Physical Demands):
  • Unusual work hours including nights and weekends.
  • Some local and international travel may be required.
  • Comfortable working remotely and on location.
  • Frequent sedentary work that primarily involves sitting; Time of each will vary.
  • Constant operation of computer for potentially long durations.
  • Constant assessment of accuracy and thoroughness of the work assignment.


$53,100 - $70,800 a year
The starting salary range for this position at time of posting is USD $53,100 to USD $70,800 per annum. Getty Images has different ranges in different locations within the US, and this range represents the starting base pay range. Actual compensation will depend on factors including but not limited to: qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, certification, business needs, performance, and level of responsibility along with the requirements of the position. The company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any point in the future.
