UX Designer

What you'll be doing

Future are looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our UX Design team where you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to create and support Future’s digital products and proprietary technology. You will be passionate about creating excellent customer experiences and detailed crafted user interfaces that help meet user needs and connect our customers to their interests.

Reporting to the UX Design Lead, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of stakeholders, product managers and developers at every stage of the process to create and support Future’s digital products and proprietary technology e.g. ecommerce, digital subscriptions, paywall, website platform and internal systems to name but a few.

You will define the interactivity and UX of the products, proposing solutions that balance user needs with business goals and technical capabilities. You will have visual design skills to create assets ranging from wireframes, low and high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to bring your concepts to life, and manage these through to development implementation.

As an important member of the team, you will focus on gaining user insights to solve core problems through user testing and research, defining customer and user journeys, and designing solutions to hand over for development or A/B testing. You will improve innovation for new products and features, prototype low-fidelity concepts for collaborative discussions, and use qualitative and quantitative data to inform product development, ensuring excellent user experiences. With an understanding of analytics, you will focus on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and improve product performance metrics, user experience and revenue KPIs.

UX Research Skills

• Experience conducting a range of UX research techniques, and when to employ them to get the best Return on investment
• Plan and facilitate research sessions using tools such as Miro to explore problems and opportunities
• Experience of user testing, excellent moderation skills, preparation of testing protocols and discussion guides
• Experience setting A/B tests & interpretation of findings
• GA / Analytics / Statistics

UX Design Skills

• User interface and interaction design
• Knowledge of wireframing, prototyping and working with design systems in Figma, plus high-level UI design principles
• Experience with the opportunities and limitations of HTML, CSS & JavaScript
• Brand guardian ensuring the work aligns to brand guidelines

Industry experience and competitive awareness

• Awareness of UX best-practice, up-to-date with industry developments and enthusiasm for professional development
