What you'll be doing...

Kiplinger is looking for a writer who can cover a range of personal finance topics for the brand’s website. You are a personal finance enthusiast who wants to tell everyone the right rewards credit card to get for their lifestyle and how much money they could save by shopping for a new car insurance plan. You will have knowledge and interest in personal finance topics including insurance, savings accounts, travel, credit cards, mortgages and more. A background in eCommerce and affiliate work. 

The writer can maintain their own stack of articles, keeping them updated, relevant, and SEO-friendly, as well as pitch and accept assignments on new stories based on content gaps and seasonal or newsy relevancy. This person should have a talent for writing sharp, quality content, managing multiple audience strategies at once including SEO and social, as well as the ability to use data (traffic and commercial) to inform writing and pitching.

  • At least 2+ years of experience, with affiliate/eCommerce experience 
  • Enthusiasm for personal finance and awareness of news around finance and economics to inform writing 
  • Understanding of SEO practices 
  • Data-driven writing and pitching 
  • Some newsletter and social media experience
