Freelance ELA Content Editor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an ELA Content Editor - Assessment Focus (Freelance).

Key Responsibilities

• Edit English Language Arts assessment content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to guidelines
• Communicate professionally with curriculum designers and provide actionable feedback to content writers
• Ensure content aligns with in-house style guides and is engaging for K-12 students

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree, preferably in English, creative writing, or a related field
• At least three years of professional content editing and copy editing experience
• Understanding of K-12 students' reading and knowledge levels
• Deep knowledge of English grammar and conventions
• Experience editing educational materials, including assessments (preferred)
