Join Foth as a trailblazing Civil Engineer! We’re on the lookout for a passionate, team-oriented professional ready to dive into exciting waterfront and coastal engineering projects. Ideal candidates will be located in Newport, RI; Marion, MA; or Jacksonville, FL.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute as a Civil Engineer in diverse waterfront and coastal engineering and dredging projects.
  • Conduct coastal condition assessments and structural analysis, contributing to the design and review of marine infrastructure projects.
  • Engage in all project phases - from planning and permitting to engineering and construction for coastal protection, stabilization, and dredging projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive construction documents, including detailed plans and specifications.
  • Support permitting, planning, engineering, and construction of various coastal shoreline protection and stabilization, marine/waterfront structures, and/or dredging projects.
  • Stay abreast of and comply with regulations pertaining to marine infrastructure and coastal engineering.
  • Support development, coordination and implementation project safety plans and procedures.
  • Present technical and project updates to diverse audiences, both technical experts and non-specialists.
  • Travel as needed for fieldwork and client/business interactions.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Ocean, or Marine Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Civil, Ocean, or Marine Engineering, or closely related field.
  • Relevant experience in Marine Infrastructure and Dredging.
  • Experience with project permitting processes.
