We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented professional with a passion for supply chain operations. From coordinating shipments to tracking inventory, you approach every task with precision and efficiency. Your ability to work with data, identify trends, and support decision-making will set you up for success in this role.
A strong communicator, you collaborate effectively with warehouse teams, internal departments, vendors, and site operators. You take ownership of shipments between sites and the warehouse, ensuring smooth inventory flow. As you grow, you will develop advanced data modeling skills to forecast purchase orders, manage allocations, and provide inventory updates. Your adaptability and problem-solving mindset will make you a key player in the team’s success.
Your Day-to-Day:
Inventory & Allocation Management
- Support inventory planning and allocation across multiple sites to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Update and analyze a bi-weekly allocation report, identifying trends and opportunities to improve stock distribution.
- Coordinate with site operators to adjust allocations based on sales performance and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and work with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Manage the inventory order template from requests that are received, maintaining/adding new SKUs, and allocating the requested order.
Shipment Coordination & Logistics
- Coordinate shipments between the warehouse and various sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Communicate with the warehouse team and transportation coordinator to track shipments and resolve any logistics issues.
- Work closely with vendors and Procurement & Production Manager to manage inbound deliveries and maintain stock availability.
Data & Analysis
- Assist in analyzing sales, inventory, and supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor and track monthly freight and shipping expenses, including costs associated with shipments to and from sites and the warehouse.
- Support buy planning by updating and maintaining key datasets to ensure accurate decision-making.
- Prepare and organize data for use in forecasting purchase orders and managing replenishment needs.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, allocation performance, and operational efficiency.
- Manage data entry for new product SKUs into both the warehouse and POS systems.
Buy Planning
- Take ownership of buy planning for specific product categories by analyzing sales and inventory data to identify current trends and forecast future demand.
- Monitor weeks on hand and project future sales based on historical data and the finance forecast.
- Provide buy recommendations that align with inventory requirements, sales projections, and financial targets.
- Collaborate with the VP of Business Operations for evaluation and review of proposed buys.
- Once approved, work with the Procurement and Production Manager to create and finalize purchase orders (POs).
Collaboration with Procurement & Production
- Work closely with the Procurement and Production Manager to track the status of inventory and ensure timely deliveries of products.
- Communicate with vendors regarding delivery schedules, ensuring product availability aligns with operational needs.
- Help track and resolve any discrepancies in vendor shipments, maintaining clear records and updates.
POS System Administration Support
- Manage product SKUs across all locations to ensure accurate product listings in the POS system.
- Handle incoming requests related to SKU changes, updates, or new product additions.
- Help troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues related to the POS system or product data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams, including creative services, operations, and finance, to align on margin, inventory, and brand standards.
- Act as a key point of contact between warehouses, site operators, and vendors to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Communicate inventory updates, allocation plans, and any operational challenges to relevant stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Growth
- Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes and enhance efficiency.
- Learn and adopt new tools and methodologies for advanced data modeling and inventory forecasting.
- Take on additional projects as needed, growing into more technical supply chain responsibilities over time.
Necessities:
- 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data analysis tools. Should be familiar with using V-LOOKUP and SUMIFs formulas. Pivot tables are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take on new challenges with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field.
- Experience with inventory management software, POS systems, or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of retail math such as weeks of supply, turn, margin %, etc.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, allocation, and logistics.
- Experience in buy planning or product assortment management, particularly in a retail or e-commerce setting.
- Familiarity with financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Ability to create reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 USD depending on location and experience.
