The Scientific Support Specialist – Virology plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our virology quality control processes. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance.

Job Duties Include: 

• Execute rigorous technical oversight of Virology quality control assays, ensuring adherence to strict protocols and standards.
• Maintain laboratory integrity through meticulous performance of essential duties, including cleaning, inventory management, and cold room organization (5S methodology).
• Produce high-quality technical documentation to support laboratory operations and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough investigations of laboratory deviations and errors:
• Employ advanced analytical skills to determine root causes
• Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
• Perform comprehensive data audits
• Author detailed reports as required
• Ensure all investigations adhere to compliance-driven timelines
• Design and execute Qualification and Validation studies to maintain the highest standards of laboratory performance.
• Provide critical analytical change management support for Virology testing laboratories, facilitating seamless transitions and continuous improvement.
• Uphold unwavering compliance with cGMPs, GLPs, regulations, and company policies/procedures in all laboratory activities.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in a scientific field with 1+ years of experience or MS with graduate research/6 months+ experience
• Aseptic laboratory technique and troubleshooting experience
• Technical writing skills and experience with LIMS and electronic laboratory notebooks
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

• Strong organizational skills and GMP knowledge
• Adaptability and positive attitude in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
