About the Role:
A Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector is responsible for inspecting Eriez’ manufactured products and purchased materials throughout our manufacturing processes, to ensure adherence to Eriez’ quality standards, approved design drawings and customer expectations.
Responsibilities include:
- Must use precision measuring instruments and tools, including basic CMM.
- Must determine the conformity of parts to specifications and drawing requirements.
- Submit reports of inspections and dispositions to various department Managers.
- Observe testing of finished products to determine conformance to specifications and drawings.
- Record mechanical and electrical test data of finished products.
- Work under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
- Perform similar and related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor.
- Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc.
- Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system.
- Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- Two-year qualified inspection certificate or 4 years or more of Quality Assurance experience
- Minimum of two (2) years related trade school or 4 years or more experience in machine shop practices and metal fabrication processes
- Basic knowledge of Eriez product lines or industrial equipment manufacturing
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, use basic shop math, including decimals and fractions, algebra, trigonometry, handbook formulas, and precision measuring instruments
- Able to read and interpret complicated engineering drawings, including welding and machining symbols
- Communicate effectively with employees, reps and customers, and with various departments including, Sales, Engineering and Production Services
- Demonstrated understanding of basic electricity
- Familiar with computer data entry and retrieval
- Familiar with assembly procedures
- Willingness to complete additional training (classes, seminars, etc.) as duties and responsibilities of the job classification requires
Required Education and Experience
- A high school diploma/GED required.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience related to manufacturing processes i.e., Assembly, Welding, Machining.
- Proficiency in the use of measuring devices i.e., micrometers, dial calipers, CMM
- Technical skills and the ability to read and interpret detailed assembly and machining drawings.
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate quality expectations/requirements.

Hourly Pay Range:- $25.55/hr. to $28.10/hr.
