The Work:

Equitable Bank is looking for a creative, energetic, and organized individual to join our Events team as a summer intern. The Events Intern will report to the Sr. Events Marketing Specialist and assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of events throughout the summer.



The Core Responsibilities Of The Job:
  • Assist with planning and execution of events and coordinate on-site event execution
  • Generate and execute new ideas on how to improve Equitable Banks’ overall event presence
  • Accompany Events team for new venue on-site visits as needed
  • Create Marketing Briefs for any marketing collateral needed for events
  • Support the Sr. Events Marketing Specialist & Events team with day-to-day operations of external and internal events
  • Help lead event execution tactics such as:
  • Creating calendar invites
  • Information tracking
  • Creating invites for events
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations
  • Processing invoices
  • Post-event success metrics management
  • Event inventory management
  • Ordering promotional materials


Let's Talk About You!
  • An eagerness to learn and an interest in either one or more of these areas: Corporate Communication, Events Planning or Business Administration Marketing
  • Knowledge in event/activity planning and implementation in a project team environment would be an asset
  • Multi-tasker extraordinaire
  • Strong written and communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with working in a hybrid environment
  • Superior customer service/public relations skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds + and comfortable with physical tasks
  • Travel to events is required; car not needed but an asset
  • Must be able to work on tasks independently and be flexible with time requirements on event days as needed

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
