Receptionist (Migrant Head Start)

EPIC Early Learning is seeking a friendly and professional receptionist to join our team. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our organization and will provide administrative support across the board. EPIC is a private, nonprofit organization that has been working hand-in-hand with children and families to provide early childhood educational services that strengthen our Central Washington communities for over 35 years. As a receptionist at EPIC Early Learning, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations at our organization. You will greet and welcome visitors, answer and direct phone calls, and provide information to parents and visitors with a warm and helpful attitude. Your administrative tasks will include managing and organizing files, handling incoming and outgoing calls, and monitoring parent sign in/out systems. Additionally, you will assist with various clerical tasks such as typing, photocopying, and maintaining office supplies.

Pay Level:

$16.90 to $17.41 Hourly (9 month position)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual/ Biliterate (English/Spanish) required
  • Proven work experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient in using office equipment, such as printers and fax machines
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License, own transportation, and required auto insurance

Conditions of Employment:

  1. Prior to employment, complete a pre-employment drug screen, Tb skin test by an EPIC approved healthcare provider at no cost to the employee.
  2. Pre-employment basic physical by an EPIC healthcare provider (obtain within (30) days of employment and no cost to the employee).
  3. Must pass an initial and periodic background check through the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF).
  4. Provide proof of MMR vaccination and/ or resistance to Measles, Mumps & Rubella.
  5. Current Food Handlers card (obtain the training within 30 days of employment).
  6. Current First Aid/CPR card (obtain within thirty 30 days of employment).
  7. Complete Child Abuse and Neglect training and all other mandated training.
  8. CEO Approval.
