Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Network Performance Specialist for one of our partners, a global leader in the chemical industry field.
Job Summary:
The Network Performance Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of network systems to ensure optimal operation and efficiency. This role also includes handling the dispatch of security incidents, ensuring timely and effective response to potential threats. The specialist will work closely with IT teams to maintain network integrity, security, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network infrastructures that meet organizational requirements and performance standards.
- Monitor and analyze network performance using advanced tools to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, applying advanced problem-solving techniques to maintain system stability.
- Plan and manage network capacity to accommodate growth and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Implement and manage network security measures to safeguard against vulnerabilities and threats.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for network configurations, procedures, and performance reports.
- Manage relationships with network vendors, including negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and generate reports to inform stakeholders of network status and improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest network technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and applications.
- Act as the primary contact for security incident dispatch, coordinating with relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of security incidents from detection to resolution.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external teams during security incidents to ensure swift resolution.
- Review and analyze incident reports to identify trends and improve response strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of 5+ years in network performance management, design, and implementation.
- Proven expertise in monitoring and optimizing network performance and security.
- ITIL Foundation for understanding IT service management best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) for advanced networking skills.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Experience with network performance tools and techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal English language proficiency.
