Position Summary
We are seeking a Sales Intern to support business growth through retail sales reporting, category analysis, and in-store merchandising management. This is an ideal role for a self-starter who is eager to grow in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) space—preferably beauty—and wants to make a tangible impact by supporting key accounts and driving actionable insights. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, highly organized, collaborative, and motivated to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute weekly sales reports with relevant insights and commentary.
- Conduct retail sales and category performance analysis, including tracking new item performance and planogram execution.
- Lead ROI analysis of new programs and distribution opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
- Utilize category insights to help shape assortment decisions in partnership with the space planning team.
- Manage in-store merchandising programs from concept through execution and post-launch evaluation.
- Maintain product data and handle retailer item setups with accuracy and timeliness.
- Track and report on competitive launches, category news, and retail events.
- Provide general administrative support, including sending samples and completing retailer forms.
- Ensure all customer information requests are handled promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate across departments to support project success and account needs.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated passion for CPG, ideally in the beauty industry, with an eagerness to support major retail accounts.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to deliver measurable results.
- A quick learner with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot independently.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and PowerPoint.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey insights.
- Proven relationship-building skills and a team-oriented, responsive mindset.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to transform data into actionable recommendations.
- Flexible and collaborative, with a passion to succeed and a positive, can-do attitude.
- A genuine passion for the beauty industry and consumer trends.
