Electron Beam Technologies Inc, located 50 miles south of Chicago, IL, has been a leader in the welding industry for over 50 years. We specialize in manufacturing customized MIG cables suited for a variety of applications, from small hobby units to high-volume robotic welding systems. Our engineering team collaborates closely with clients to integrate our custom electron beam cross-linked blends of polyethylene into OEM designs, utilizing our proprietary POLY-XL® jacketing compound known for its unparalleled resistance to weld spatter, cuts, UV, and tears. We also produce a range of other products including plasma cables, wire ropes, custom tubing, standard welding cables, and electrode conduits. As we continue to expand our global reach and enhance our product offerings, we are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our experienced team. This role is critical in ensuring our clients receive excellent support and solutions tailored to their specific welding needs. Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist customers in understanding product specifications and recommending suitable solutions for their welding needs.
- Process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams to communicate customer requirements and feedback effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback.
- Help in managing incoming calls, emails, and customer requests while ensuring timely follow-up.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or customer service training is a plus.
- Proven experience in customer service or related field, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address customer queries and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment as well as independently when required.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices is preferred; experience with order processing software is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
