Distribution Planning Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Distribution Planning Engineer to assist in the development of a distribution system power flow model for studying the interconnection of generation and storage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in assessing and analyzing proposed solutions for the integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DER)
  • Develop design solutions and alternatives to mitigate assessment criteria violations
  • Manage local impact analysis of distribution interconnections on client distribution systems
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field
  • One year of engineering experience
  • Experience with power system modeling and simulation software
  • Familiarity with ASPEN, ETAP, Synergi Electric, PSCAD, and CymeDist9
