Edelman is seeking freelance production support for several exciting work streams over the next three months. We are looking for experienced experiential producers, photo producers, and social content producers (photo/video) who can work on east coast time to collaborate on impactful creative projects.
The Role:
As a freelance Senior Producer at Edelman, you will bring a strong background in delivering highly crafted work while maintaining best-in-class production practices. You are driven by creative execution and take pride in leading teams to produce bold and meaningful content. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing mid to large-scale integrated projects from production kick-off through final delivery. You should be capable of managing production autonomously while escalating to the Executive Producer when necessary. Effective communication, delegation, and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:- Lead and manage overall execution, budget, and timeline for video/photo, digital, broadcast, and experiential projects, including product launches, events, editorial, and animation.
- Elevate the creative by finding versatile solutions to maintain the integrity of strong ideas and evolve them into even stronger projects.
- Oversee content components within larger integrated projects, including social media video captures, photography, live streaming, events, and animation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and "owner" of project deliverables, providing expertise to Account Leadership, Creative teams, and clients.
- Guide teams through the creative and production process, ensuring effective communication between creative, strategy, technology, business leadership, business affairs, and vendor partners.
- Partner with Business Affairs throughout the production process and possess strong knowledge of AICP and AICE bid formats.
- Create bid specs and production estimates with clear project deliverables and assumptions.
- Track and actualize production budgets.
- Have a strong understanding of SAG-AFTRA guidelines for shooting and recording talent, including usage and payment considerations.
- Ensure all proposed creative concepts are feasible within the specified timeframe and budget.
- Provide creative teams with production guidance during the ideation process.
- Stay informed on industry-leading vendors and partners, evaluating their strengths and skills.
- Maintain positive relationships with the production community and introduce new production partners to creative teams and fellow producers.
- Balance external production partners while supporting in-house production talent.
Basic Qualifications:- 6+ years of production-related experience at a creative agency, marketing/communications firm, or production company.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in producing experiential and content projects, including events and animation.
- Strong understanding of the creative process with a well-developed creative opinion.
- Exceptional initiative and follow-through skills.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and adapt to changing project environments.
- High-level knowledge of project planning, including goal-setting, budgeting, scheduling, and scope management.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to motivate teams and foster a positive dynamic among internal and external partners.
- Understanding of team dynamics to optimize individual and collective output.
- Passion for mentoring and supporting the growth of production teams.
- Effective negotiation skills and a positive, problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Capability to manage integrated projects, including broadcast, social content, still photography, animation, artist collaborations, and experiential activations.
- Established network of preferred partners and go-to resources, including vendors, artists, and agents.
- Experience developing production schedules for a variety of projects, including video edits, social shoots, and photography sessions, ensuring sufficient time for pre- and post-production.
$90 - $110 an hour
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
