Refurb Technician (Seattle Coffee Gear)

Position Summary: The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has a fine attention to detail and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.  A Refurb Technician at Seattle Coffee Gear should have a strong mechanical aptitude, a robust problem-solving ability, motivated self-starter, sense of humor, down to earth, fun and positive attitude.

• Diagnosing and testing espresso machines.
• Repairing and/or replacing damaged espresso machine components.
• Installing and wiring basic electrical components.
• Manage basic inventory moves for parts and supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station.
• Assist on other production stations such as: pre-tech, detailing, assembling and packaging.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Be able to sit, bend, stand, move around the warehouse for the majority of the day, and lift items up to 50 lbs on a regular basis unassisted and possibly more on occasion with assistance.
• Visual acuity to inspect products and perform minor repairs.
• Manual dexterity to inspect and repair products.
• Be able to use common tools as well as basic computer applications.
• Must be able to read and write in the English language.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 5 years of technical, operations, warehouse or line experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with logic and reasoning skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical principles and wiring.
• Excellent communication.
• Computer savvy and able to quickly learn new systems, products, and processes.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Applications, email and Slack.
