As a global leader in commercial payments that powers international business by moving money with ease, Convera is seeking a Senior Account Representative to support the LACA (Latin America and the Caribbean) region.

The Key Account Manager role, based remotely in the Miami area, will be responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent long-term relationships with high-value Financial Institution customers to optimize and grow the potential of each relationship, while offering superior customer experience through expertise and advise in cross-border international payments. The Key Account Manager will have a growing portfolio of Financial Institutions customers in LACA (Latin America and the Caribbean).  **Candidate must speak English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue and customer targets by establishing deep partnerships with existing Financial Institution customers in LACA, providing payments services
  • Develop account planning to protect and grow revenue, with goal of over-achieving targets
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers’ strategic priorities, with a focus on identifying solutions that deliver competitive advantage
  • Establish strong and intimate working relationships to retain Convera’s customers
  • Act as a trusted advisor to strategically important customers
  • Leverage referrals for potential new business
  • Thanks to the knowledge of our system and platforms, undertake transactions where required on behalf of customers in a responsive, efficient, and timely manner and according to Convera’s policies and compliance / regulatory requirements
  • Identify the need for payment and FX solutions that align with customers’ objectives
  • Manage, track, and report performance and forecast against customer accounts in relation to agreed key performance indicators and metrics
  • Be the advocate of your customers’ internally, presenting their needs in an articulated way to our internal credit department
  • Act ethically and in perfect respect of the rules in Convera’s highly regulated environment, taking customer best interest at heart
  • Cooperate and collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and Finance colleagues across multiple countries.

 The Successful Candidate Must Be Able to Clearly Demonstrate

  • The ability to consistently overachieve sales targets
  • Evidence of where they have successfully grown commercial relationships with Financial Institution customers with financial services
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong relationship management skills
  • Proven strong influencing, negotiating and communication skills with external and internal customers, including supplier / alliance partner relationships
  • Fluent communication in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Problem solving mindset: identifying improvements in efficiency, reviewing processes and upselling different solutions
  • High degree of self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong financial and commercial analysis skills
  • Higher education qualifications – MBA is a plus

Required Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese (oral and written), as all internal communication is in English and external communication is in Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience of managing portfolios of high-value Financial Institutions clients
  • Experience in selling financial services to Financial Institutions customers
  • Detailed knowledge of the financial services and/or payment industry
  • Detailed understanding of bulk payment processing, the international payment landscape, accounting systems, and platform integration is essential
  • Strong project management experience to lead upselling opportunities while working closely with internal teams (i.e., including bid, customer assurance, pre-sales, and customer care) to ensure seamless service delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; MBA is a plus
