Join our dynamic DataOps team at OTI as the Senior Technical Lead. In this key role, you'll have the opportunity to shape our data strategy and create innovative solutions that enhance the quality of life for all New Yorkers. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, drive the transition of our data infrastructure to a cloud-centric platform, and collaborate with a team of passionate professionals committed to making a real difference through data-driven solutions.

As the Senior Technical Lead, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient management, optimization, and ongoing support of the data platform to meet the City's growing demands for real-time data processing, application integration, data engineering, storage, reporting, and analytics. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining the platform's reliability and scalability as it serves a wide range of city agencies and departments. In this role, you will work with a diverse range of datasets and build data assets that support key city agencies, including 311, Public Safety (911), Sanitation, Health, Buildings, Transportation, and more.

Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage the design and implementation of data platform architecture, driving enhancements in data operations, minimizing service disruptions, and optimizing the efficiency and
reliability of delivery processes across hundreds of city agency systems.
- Provide strategic direction for ongoing enhancements of the citywide data platform, ensuring it meets the evolving demands of modern application integration and data engineering.
- Lead the oversight of the data platform’s operations, ensuring that its architecture is continuously updated, stable, scalable, and resilient against security and performance challenges.
- Guide and support DataOps integration engineers, data engineers, and support engineers, fostering adherence to DevOps best practices, including continuous integration (Cl), continuous
deployment (CD), and automated testing.
- Complete special projects and initiatives as assigned.

HOURS/SHIFT
Day - Due to the necessary technical duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings.

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or

2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and ten years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or

3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
