Chestnut Carbon has an afforestation project called the Chestnut Sustainable Restoration Project that reforests land in the Southeast United States with native hardwoods and softwoods. The Project Coordinator will specifically work on this project (Restore), providing administrative support to the larger Restore project and team. This is an entry level position that reports to the Project Manager and works closely with other individuals and teams to ensure the highest standards are met.
Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support with managing project timelines and deliverable deadlines
- Support in updating and maintaining administrative software (e.g. Salesforce, Jira) to ensure accurate project data.
- Assistance in creating and maintaining the organization of an internal documentation system.
- Assist with editing and maintaining documents, procedures, and data for our stakeholder and community engagement program.
- Communicate with other team members to ensure workflows and deliverables are being pushed forward effectively.
- Assist in providing support to finishing up deliverables (e.g. editing, creating graphs and light graphical design) and/or organization of deliverables to ensure consistency.
- Learn about the larger carbon market and be able to provide insights in the field.
- Support with internal data and administrative projects, as assigned
Ideal Qualifications:- Undergraduate degree in environmental studies or related field.
- Familiarity with forest carbon project verifications and the voluntary carbon market.
- Previous Salesforce and/or Jira experience is a plus, aptitude to explore and master new computer programs is necessary.
- Strong communication skills, including both oral and written.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, as well as a high-level attention to detail.
- Strong time-management and self-management skills and can take direction and work independently to reach identified goals on a set timeline.
- Can maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion in dealing with highly sensitive project deliverables.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
- Interest in learning about and growing within the field.

$55,000 - $60,000 a year
The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $55,000 - $60,000 (or the equivalent based on your state's minimum requirement), subject to the chosen candidate’s experience, skills, certifications and qualifications, determination of which is made in the sole discretion of Chestnut Carbon.
All employees are eligible to participate in health, insurance, and 401K plan benefits on their first day of employment. Chestnut Carbon pays 100% of the cost of the employees’ health/dental/vision insurance. During each fiscal year of employment, employees will be eligible to earn a discretionary annual incentive bonus, based on company and individual performance targets.
