We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive growth and expand market share for our premium charcuterie and specialty meat products across the Northeast U.S. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, retailers, foodservice providers, and high-end grocery chains. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with deep knowledge of the specialty meat industry, a passion for high-quality products, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
This role will require travel.
Duties/Responsibilities:Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute a sales plan to increase revenue and market penetration in the Northeast region.
- Identify new business opportunities, including specialty retailers, restaurants, hospitality groups, and wholesalers.
- Drive sales growth through strategic account management, prospecting, and relationship building.
- Account Management & Business Development:
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing distributors and retail partners.
- Identify, target, and onboard new customers within the foodservice, grocery, and specialty markets.
- Collaborate with clients to provide product training, sampling, and promotional support.
Market & Industry Insights:
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the charcuterie and specialty meat segment.
- Provide feedback to internal teams on product performance and market demands.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing and operations teams to develop promotional campaigns and support product launches.
- Partner with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience:- 3+ years of sales experience in the food industry, preferably in charcuterie, specialty meats, or premium protein products.
- Established network within distributors, specialty retailers, and foodservice providers in the Northeast.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop data-driven sales strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Northeast region.
- Preferred:
- Experience working with premium food brands, artisanal products, or European-style charcuterie.
- Understanding of category management and merchandising in the specialty food space.
- Familiarity with trade shows, food exhibitions, and industry networking events.
