Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder II to assign ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding classifications based on clinical documentation and physician orders
  • Maintain assigned work queues and ensure productivity standards are met
  • Verify data integrity from the EMR for accurate internal and external reporting
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential required
  • Minimum of three years coding experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
  • Successful completion of internal coding exam
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
