Application Engineer - Crypto

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients an Application Engineer - Crypto - this is an onsite position in NYC.

What You’ll Do

• Perform security assessments, code reviews, and penetration testing across the business
• Design and implement secure coding practices and security standards for development teams
• Build and maintain security tools for automated vulnerability detection in our codebase
• Collaborate with development teams to remediate security issues and implement security controls
• Conduct security architecture reviews for new features and products
• Research emerging threats in the web3 space and develop mitigation strategies
• Educate developers on security best practices through training and documentation

5+ years of experience in application security, with a focus on web applications

Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques & Experience with security testing tools.

Strong Understanding of secure SDLC and ability to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines

Experience with web3, blockchain technologies, or smart contract security is a plus
